lyrics

A red line growing
Just a slip around the jaw
Barely missed the bone

As the sting increases he develops a thought
Ruminations of anguish and he doesn't know what
Could ever be worse than a papercut on his eyelid

Follow my instinct
Listen to reason
Look at my helmet
(tell me what you think about it)
Follow the watchdog
Into the graveyard
Look at my helmet
Help me

Between the envy on the one hand
And the pain in his arm
It's a shame they never got the joke
Ha...ha...ha

And his thoughts of unfulfilled demands
Thoughts of a nation's thoughtless plans
When he sleeps, when he sleeps
When he goes to bed
He escapes, he escapes
And he wishes he was dead

And these darkened dreams I've dream a lot
The window's open but the door is locked
The problem is simple, it's easy to see
I have to wake up from reality

LAWSUIT Davis, California

Once upon a time there was a band named Lawsuit. It was a 10-piece band, known for its quirky lyrics and its energetic live shows.

The band played up and down California, were popular at the UCD Whole Earth Festival, had a standing last-Friday-of-the-month gig at Hotel Utah in San Francisco, and were regulars at the Palms Playhouse when it was in Davis, Ca.

The band broke up in 1996.
