SOMETHING ABOUT PAUL: As lead singer of LAWSUIT (read: a guy who stands in front of a microphone singing in a way that Simon Cowell would likely call "absolutely horrible") he was a bit insecure about being taken seriously as an artist. When Lawsuit began back in the 80s, Paul didn't play a lick of guitar. So he worked very hard at becoming adept enough in his guitar skills to keep up with the likes of KC and Ish. Completely self taught.

Paul's guitar work on "Thank God You're Doing Fine" is a testament to his dedication (his guitar is the louder of the two). Perfect in its imperfections, appreciate it not only for it's character and beauty, but for all the hours spent in the confines of his bedroom rehearsing it over and over... and over and over... and over...

The band played up and down California, were popular at the UCD Whole Earth Festival, had a standing last-Friday-of-the-month gig at Hotel Utah in San Francisco, and were regulars at the Palms Playhouse when it was in Davis, Ca.
